Our 30th Wedding Anniversary was just one of those times that was so special that you can't really put into words. .We celebrated with an evening of ballroom dancing led by our wonderful dance teachers Mel and Chris and with family and friends at church. Alex and his band provided the music which was superb and Jess and Alex sang Moon River together which was so lovely.
Family travelled up from London to be there to help us celebrate coming all that way "up North " but I think everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and in retrospect I think it was the last time Jo was in Huddersfield.
I will always remember Jo looking so gorgeous in her long blue/ turquoise dress lighting up the evening with her infectious giggle and having such fun dancing with everyone. She and Jess did a surprise slideshow of pics of Jeff and I over the last 30 years which were hilarious. Did we really everwear clothes like that!
We had a special family group photo taken at the end of the evening which I will treasure always. All the family have a photo of this special evening which is all the more poignant now.
I know so many of our friends and family who met Jo that evening will have a lasting impression of her as she just had that special quality about her and bought out the best in the lives of all who knew her. She lived her life to the full and was such fun to be around. I will treasure that memory forever.
